PROJECT 3.3
Get Set, Dance!
This is a board game inspired by the popular game "Sorry!" Players are immersed in a cultural dance parade. The purpose of this game is to make your way to the final stage before the other dancers (players) get there first. Players will roll a dice and each rolled number determines which card is pulled.
To raise the stakes of this game, if certain numbers are rolled, then players have the ability to halt other players from reaching the finish line. Each player has a dance troupe of five that they have to bring to the final stage. The first player to bring their entire troupe to the finish line wins the game.
This game comes with a board, a set of dice, cards that give players both an advantage and disadvantage, as well as a unique instruction manual.
This game can be played with either 2 to 4 players! Each player has also access to any set of pawns inspired by cultural dancers:
• Chinese Dancers
• Japanese Dancers
• Philippine Dancers
• Spanish Dancers
Instructions:
1. Split the special card deck in half and place it on each side of the board game. The other decks will be off the mat.
2. Each player begins by moving the first dancer out of their starting position
3. Players can only bring out another dancer if they pull an “Entrance Step Card”
4. The board is shaped like a circle and each player has to get to The Grand Stage using a stage pass, a Special Card.
5. Players need to bring ALL 4 dancers onto the final stage.
6. Each player rolls a die and whichever number they roll, they pull a card associated with their respective number
Advance Card (1)(3)(5): Player moves toward stage
Penalty Card (2)(4): Player moves away from stage
7. Special Card (6): Player can sabotage other players
8. Cards are the ONLY way to move your marker
9. First person to reach their “final stage” with all 4 markers wins
